Multiple Arrests After a Pursuit in Weld County

On Friday, December 14, 2018 at approximately 2304 hours, a deputy with the Weld County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of WCR 22 and WCR 39 for failure to stop at a stop sign. As the deputy approached the vehicle, the driver, later identified as 35-year-old Jonathan Humphrey, accelerated and fled from the traffic stop.

Deputies pursued the vehicle which was observed throwing items, later found to be heroin and drug paraphernalia from the vehicle. Deputies successfully disabled the suspect’s vehicle with the use of stop sticks and performed a high-risk stop, removing three individuals from the vehicle. The passengers were later identified as 22-year-old Katrina Doig, and 22-year-old Brittany Chandler. All three individuals were taken into custody and are currently being held at the Weld County Jail.
Humphrey is being charged with multiple Traffic Violations, 2 counts of Reckless Endangerment, 2nd Degree Criminal Trespass, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and a warrant.

Doig is being charged with Attempt to Influence a Public Servant, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Throwing Missiles from a Vehicle, Criminal Impersonation, and multiple warrants.
Chandler is being charged with 2nd Degree Criminal Trespass, Unlawful Possession of Schedule I/II Drugs, 1st Degree Introduction of Contraband, Violation of Restraining Order, Throwing Missiles from Vehicle, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and multiple warrants.

All charges are merely accusations until proven guilty in a court of law. No other information will be released at this time.
